Rovio is quite popular for its Angry Birds title and seems to have nailed the art of churning out entertaining games in this category. Angry Birds Go is unlike the other titles, basically, it’s a racing game where you race downhill through the piggy island. The graphics are colorful. You have 5 types of kart races to chose from. Controls are limited to tilting your phone and touching controls on the screen for steering but are responsive. Being a racing game, although it lacks the excitement of actual racing games, it has a charm of its own. You can choose your riders, which are birds. They eventually get tired after a few races and need to rest.

Resting periods for each bird is 30 minutes, although you can rejuvenate them by spending crystals. Crystals can be earned by playing races. To successfully complete a track, you need to periodically upgrade your carts, which cost crystals. You can either keep playing more and more tracks and gain crystals to spend, or you can buy them through in-app purchases. After a few races, it races get boring and repetitive.

Upgrading karts are very important for traversing a track, which requires you to eventually spend real money in case you are addicted to the game. On the face, it looks like Angry Birds Go is just an afterthought and an attempt to provide something new and original.

Overall, Angry Birds Go is fun and entertaining, but it gets boring quickly. Rovio tried to be greedy with this game, although it probably has some potential.

The colorful kart racing game is fun and its visuals and upbeat sound effects bring about a new and fresh experience. However, it’s probably a failed attempt in trying to release a yet another widely popular game. Learn more about data safety No information available. Rovio, I used to play this game all the time. When I came back to this game, I found this “island” where you had to beat 5 tracks. I was quite forlorn. In the old game, all you had to do was beat 5 races, 5 time booms, 5 fruit splits, and a few versus matches. Not only that, the upgrade system is quite disappointing and complicated.

I remember every single morning, me and my twin brother would race down to our iPad to play this. Now, this never happens. Rovio, your game used to be incredible. I used to like this game.

Ever since the update, I’ve missed the old one, because you know, sense actually exsisted there? Because in the old one, you didn’t need to grind for toolboxes to possibly not get the thing you wanted, with also the stamina isn’t as good and the ads to get free things are broken.

Why i’m rating it two stars instead of one, because of the “smoother and better experience”, and the fact that in order to move on you have to buy the best cart in EACH place, I guess i’m fine.

Great game overall! There are only 2 things I would want changed though. First, I think there are way too many ads. I know you have to make money but I would like to seem them at least trimmed down a bit.

Second, I don’t know if its the game or my phone but when in a race the music doesn’t play. My phone is several years old so it could be that but im going to post it here just in case.
